Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>The High Slope Subarea (HSS) is a subarea of the Hillside and Geologic Risk Overlay (HGRO). The HSS is based on DOGAMI Metro 2014 Lidar-derived bare-earth DEM data. The HSS is the areas within the HGRO which have generalized slopes of 35% and greater. Generalized slopes are created by using Focal Statistics to average slope for each raster cell (of the bare earth DEM converted to slope percent rise raster). Focal Statistics were calculated using averaged across a circle with radius specified as 15 cells (45 feet). Prior to focal statistics, a narrow quality control clipping is performed to remove identified slopes with either underlying data quality issues or areas of slope no longer accurate as of January 15 2021 due to capture of temporary slope features (e.g. stockpiles) which are no longer present. Finally a 5 foot buffer is added. The overlay boundary identifies locations where Gresham Community Development Code (GCDC) Section 5.0200 Hillside and Geologic Risk Overlay (HGRO) standards relating to the High Slope Subarea (HSS) apply.
